Yey! The Legal-Island Hot Air Balloon is back in action! Well almost. It failed its MOT last week on grounds that there was wood worm in the basket but once the ulster weavers have seen to this then it's ready for lift off. I've been up twice now and I still can't make up my mind about it. On one level it's wonderful. Flight at its most natural with plenty of time to enjoy it. On another level it is completely insane getting so high into the air and having no ability to steer and being completely at the mercy of the wind.
Last time the Legal-Island staff flew in it it was a hoot. We had to change crew midway through the session so the balloon bounced through a field as 3 staff decanted and another 3 jumped on board.
