Boy I got a drubbing yesterday at the cards. I memorised a pack in about 5 minutes. Charles my only competitor in the Beat The Director competition did it in nearer 3 minutes. Impressive I must admit and I wished him well as he gathered his £1,000 into his pocket.In between matches we went for a coffee down at Junction 1. We walked into Starbucks only for Charles to declare that he had forgotten to bring his sterling with him. I smiled. I had forgotten to bring my wallet with me.
